What is recorded here
Unlocated burial within the townland of Lynn (Cahill & Sikora 2011, vol. 2, 522). The files of the National Museum of Ireland records that in July 1961 portions of a human skull were found in a bog drain which flows into the river Brosna, at Lynn, near Mullingar. The remains were apparently embedded in mud and notcied by a local man while walking along the riverbank. The remains were not acquired (NMI File).
