Burial in Lurgan (dunmore By.) marks famine dead in boggy land sheltered by a steep ridge. Only grassed-over stony mounds remain visible, yet the soil still holds the weight of that loss. The ridge blocks the wind, but it cannot block the memory of bodies given to the earth when no other choice remained.
