Quarrying in Kilkeelan, County Meath, in 1983 broke through soil and revealed ten buried people half a metre below an esker ridge. The bones lay scattered without consistent direction, prompting an immediate stop to the work. That sudden restraint suggests the living recognised a place where death had already claimed authority.

Situated on narrow E-W esker ridge with a small NW-SE stream c. 100m to the SW. Quarrying in 1983 exposed inhumed human remains c. 0.5m below the surface. About 10 individuals could be represented.
