Burial in Kildangan

Kildangan in County Meath, Ireland, holds at least two extended burials lying east to west, just forty-five centimetres beneath the soil where drain diggers broke through in March 2016. The shallow depth suggests a forgotten moment when the land still belonged to someone, perhaps a family or a displaced person, before the fields changed hands and memory faded. The bones did not resist the spade; they waited patiently for human hands to notice them again.
