What is recorded here

Three shallow, stone-lined graves cut east-west across the hilltop, waiting beside an old ring ditch and a fulacht fia. They are not deep pits but flat, trapezoidal boxes, as if the dead were laid out like guests at a long table rather than buried beneath the earth. The placement near the summit suggests visibility, pride or belief that the dead should remain close to the sky.
Three east-west aligned, shallow graves were identified through test-excavation (Licence no. 06E0799). Located east of a ring ditch (DU005-152----) and fulacht fia (DU005-153----) towards the summit of a prominent hill, the graves are stone-lined and trapezoidal in plan (Frazer 2007, 26).
