What is recorded here

A burnt mound was identified through test-excavation (Licence no. 06E0799). It measures 10.5m x 8.6m and has been truncated by land drains (Frazer 2007, 28). Compiled by: Christine Baker Date of upload: 2 February 2015
Burnt mound, likely dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. These features are commonly associated with domestic or ritual activities, such as heat-treated stone for cooking or ceremonial purposes.
