No visible mound remains, but local memory places Famine dead beneath the island grass. That absence is not emptiness; it is a warning about what hunger did and what people refused to forget. The river still passes the bridge while the buried remain unnamed, giving the place its quiet severity.
On a small island in An Abhainn Ghabhla Mór c. 150m E of a road bridge. According to local tradition there are 'Famine Graves' on this island (Robinson 1985, 18). Not visited.
