What is recorded here

Ballinclemesig in Ballyheige, County Kerry, may hold an unmarked burial, though the exact spot has been lost to time. In 1939 a writer told the Kerryman newspaper that a grave existed there, but never said where. The earth may still cover a life that no longer appears in any list, waiting beneath grass or gravel for someone to remember it.

In a letter to the Kerryman newspaper a possible burial is mentioned in Ballinclemesig townland (O'Connell 1939, 17). The location of the possible burial was not recorded. Compiled by: Matt Kelleher Date of upload: 19 December 2013
