South of Burnham House, now Coláiste Íde, two slab-lined graves held extended skeletons, each chamber stretching two metres through the earth. Those dead people likely watched this same horizon before joining the soil, their bodies aligned by hands that understood the weight of farewell. The slabs still mark the boundary between the living and the remembered, waiting for someone to notice the shape of their rest.
