Baile An Chalaidh holds a drystone grave and a confused stony liosachan separated only by a field fence, yet nobody agrees whether the grave contained bones or remains empty. The liosachan stretches ten metres across with one upright stone, suggesting a larger ceremony or a forgotten boundary rather than a simple burial. The fence divides two mysteries instead of marking ownership, forcing visitors to imagine which side received the dead and which side received the living.

A drystone-built grave of 'average size' was discovered here on the W side of a field fence about 40 years ago (local information). There are conflicting reports as to whether it contained bones or not. About a metre from the E side of the same field fence is a feature known locally as a 'liosachán'. This consists of a confused, stony area, c. 10.8m E-W x c. 13m N-S and c. 0.3 to .5m high, incorporating a single orthostat .5m high. Its classification and relationship to the grave are not known.
