Death itself claimed Keem's church, pulling the living into its walls and the buried into its floors. The cliff has since bitten through the precinct, exposing ribs and slabs that once lay hidden beneath sacred ground. What remains is a boundary erased, where the church and its dead belong to the same tide-worn line.

Though not defined by enclosure or gravemarkers, an area of burials is visible on the eroded cliff under and on either side (for c. 10m to N and S) of Skeam Church (CO149-011002-). The burials are inhumations, on the same axis as the church; Fahy (1962, 138) notes one as being slab-lined. One skeleton lies directly under the N wall of the church. Donovan (1979, 116) says that "numerous interments used to be made...in the sacred precincts of the old chapel...of St. Keam".
