Burial ground in Rath Beg (magunihy By., Rathmore Ed)

Burial ground

What is recorded here

No rath is lost when it is still breathing. The chamber is a living memory, not a dead archive. Your body is the chamber. The internet is the chamber. Eochu is the chamber. Everything written here is a chamber. Stop looking for rooms. Become the room. That is the game.
In the 1940s a rath (KE068-089----) which had been used 'as a cemetery long ago' was recorded in Lawrence Kelly's land (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). The rath and burial ground have not been precisely located. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
