Situated on the level summit of a low hill. Small circular area described locally as being defined by a bank, and known as the 'old town'. Marked on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as 'Site of Burial Ground'. Price (1949, 155) mentions several cross-slabs here of which nothing is now known. Not visible at ground level.
