Clearfield (2019, 109) recorded burial ground in Nohaval Upper, County Cork. The site is circular, thirty-two yards across, and stands two feet above the surrounding field. Grass-covered mounds still mark where the chapel rose, while a holy well waits nearby in the same land. People buried their dead beside water and prayer, trusting both to hold them when the world forgot their names.

Bowman (1934, 660) recorded burial ground and church site (14523) on J. Daly's farm in field called 'the Chapel Field. The site is circular (diam. 32yds), covers about half an acre, and is c. 2 feet higher than the field level. The surrounding fence is levelled. Grass-covered mounds mark the site of the chapel.' According to local information, burial ground to S of holy well (14028) in same field; Ó Driscéoil (1934, 24), refers to field immediately to E of holy well as 'Páirc an tSéipéil (chapel field)'.
