What is recorded here
In 1977 human remains were discovered on a gravel ridge during building works. The remains of at least five individuals were found; two adults and three children. They were unaccompanied by grave goods and there was no evidence for any grave settings. There was a tradition of a church in the adjoining field and a font is also reputed to have come from this part of the field (Cahill & Sikora 2011, vol. 2, 502).
