Kinny Lough dips into the west shore where a rough uncultivated strip, twenty-one metres north-south and forty east-west, holds the buried dead. Sheep graze the poor pasture above them, unaware that human bones wait beneath the grass. The lake keeps the heat and the land keeps the quiet, making the border between living and dead as thin as water over stone.

A rough uncultivated area measuring 21m N-S and 40m E-W is said to mark the site of an old burial ground. The site is in poor pasture land just W of the shore of Kinny Lough.
