Burial ground in Cahergal (headford Ed.)

Cahergal in County Galway holds a quiet burial ground where small field stones embedded in the sod mark the resting places of adults and children. The last person was laid to rest there in 1957, proving the land remained trusted and familiar long after most such places were forgotten. It sits inside the northwest quadrant of a larger enclosure, waiting for nobody yet belonging to everyone who ever loved someone enough to bury them properly.
