Clear water cut through the red clay and filled the ditch. I watched the marker lean further into the grass and wondered whether the child had played there before the adults stopped the laughter. The church stood silent beside the graves, waiting for someone to remember the small hands that touched its doors.

In an ecclesiastical enclosure (KE102-019003-). Numerous low uninscribed grave-markers, orientated N-S, are evident in the NW half of the ecclesiastical enclosure. Some graves are evident as low grass-covered mounds. According to Dennehy (1997, 158), the majority of the grave-markers contain veins of quartz. Dennehy (ibid.) also noted an 'unusual box-like construction of boulders' in the NE quadrant of the burial ground. The area was last used as a burial ground for unbaptised infants one hundred years ago (ibid.). A Man-made underground passage (KE102-019004-) occurs within the burial ground and there is a church site (KE102-019001-) in the SE half of the ecclesiastical enclosure.
