Drombane Church vanished between 1844 and 1895, changing from ruins to an invisible site within half a century. The building likely collapsed or was stripped for stone, erasing its walls while the ecclesiastical enclosure remained. Forgetting worked quickly there, turning a named worship place into empty ground before anyone could preserve it.

In the SE half of an ecclesiastical enclosure (KE102-019003-). This church is not visible at ground level. It is indicated on the 1844 OS 6-inch map as 'Drombane Church (in ruins)' and on the 1895 OS 6-inch map as 'Drombane Church (site of)'.
