Burial Ground (Disused)

Graveyard

What is recorded here

West of St. Brecan's Church, a small oval graveyard disappears into dense gorse and scrub. Its late-18th-century headstones still stand, though vegetation has swallowed most of the path between them. The place feels less abandoned than paused, as if the dead are simply waiting for someone to part the bushes and remember them.
In an area of dense scrub and gorse. This small oval-shaped graveyard lies to the W of 'St. Brecan's Church' (GA068-061001-). On inspection it was heavily overgrown and all of the visible headstones were of late-18th-century date. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 10 July 2023
