What is recorded here

John Creagh died in 1792 and was buried in a circular limestone chamber beside Creagh Castle, where later family members joined him beneath an overgrown grass roof. The small walled ground stands in County Cork, marked only by a western gate and rubble stones that have watched the land change for generations. It is not a public monument but a private chamber where one bloodline kept its dead close, away from roads and memory lanes.

Neolithic passage tomb; dates to the 4th–3rd millennium BCE. Its circular enclosure and stone wall suggest a ceremonial or funerary function, typical of early communal burial practices in the region.
