What is recorded here

Burial Gd. for Children marks a small raised patch of earth inside a Limerick ringfort where children may have rested beside their families. The ground sits low beneath pasture, yet that tiny rise still breaks the flat field like a remembered breath. Adults built the ringfort to protect the village, but this separate corner suggests they believed young lives needed their own quiet boundary. Even without bones visible, the shape preserves the tenderness of people who refused to mix childhood grief with ordinary death.
In low-lying pasture. On S side of and immediately inside entrance to ringfort (LI038-127001-) is slightly raised D-shaped area (4.5m x 2m; H c. 0.4m); this possibly remains of 'burial ground for children' indicated in this area on 1840 OS 6-inch map.
