Shronahiree More preserves a large irregular boulder with a deep circular depression, marking it as a Bullaun stone beside the church foundations. People may have pressed their bodies against that smooth hole, testing endurance or receiving grace through pain. The nearby iron slag suggests human activity around the church, while the stone itself records repeated touching, patience and transformation.
A large, irregularly shaped boulder, measuring .52m x .45m x .3m, rests on the foundations of the church (KE082-001001-) just S of the doorway. A circular depression in its upper surface measures .3m in diameter and lm deep. A lump of iron slag, found just west of the church in 1989, is now in NMI (1989:28).
The above description is derived from O'Sullivan, A. and Sheehan, J. (compilers) 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University press. (1996), no. 969. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Likely dating to the early Christian period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as a baptismal font. Such stones are often associated with ecclesiastical sites and may have had both religious and symbolic significance in local Christian tradition.
