The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Granite boulder (c. 1.7m x 0.9m x D 0.75m) with flat upper surface. Depression (0.75m x 0.4m x D 0.33m) in centre of upper surface, containing close-fitting stone (0.65m x 0.35m x D 0.28m). Found in low rounded rise, reputed to be the Labanasigh, during reclamation work.
