Killelton Church ruins in County Kerry still hold a Bullaun stone, a marker of ancient devotion buried beneath Christian stone. The building has lost much of its shape, but the stone remains inside the wreckage, waiting to be recognized. People may have knelt there before records began, pressing bodies against rock until patience became visible.

A bullaun stone, likely dating to the early Christian period in Ireland, often used for the preparation of holy oil or as a ritual site; such stones are frequently associated with local saints and Christian traditions.
