Situated on a low N-S ridge. A bullaun stone (dims. 1.5m x 1.3m; max. H 0.47m) with two basins (diam. 0.34-0.38m; D 0.12m: diam. 0.34m; D 0.13m) is just E of the graveyard (WA025-040002-) of Kilbarrymeaden church (WA024-040001-). Likely dating to the early Christian period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purification or as a holy water font associated with the nearby church. Such stones often held religious or symbolic significance in both prehistoric and medieval Christian traditions.
