Five shallow bowls carve the flat top of a wedge-shaped rock in Fanahy, aligned like a forgotten measuring tool. Locals call it the fairy ring, suggesting the stones belong more to imagination than history. The clear geometry resists that charm, yet human hands may have marked the ridge before records arrived.

On SE side of rocky ridge to N of reclaimed field. On upper flat surface of wedge-shaped rock outcrop, are five regular bowl shaped hollows (diam. 0.18m to 0.29m; D 0.05m to 0.15m), aligned E-W forming slight arc. Locally known as the "fairy ring". Likely dating to the early medieval period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual or symbolic purposes, possibly linked to Christian or pre-Christian traditions. The bowl-shaped hollows may have been used for grinding herbs or as part of ceremonial practices.
