Bullaun stone in Doire Mhór Thiar is a worn marker inside an old earthen ring on the south side of Tralee Bay. The bank has broken under weather and time, yet the flat ground still holds traces of a circular hut, an underground passage and two possible outer dwelling places. People may have turned the stone, prayed at it or simply remembered the site through it. That much is not written, but the shape of the place suggests a life of return, ritual or ordinary habitation beside the bay.

Situated on low-lying, level ground on the S side of Tralee Bay, rath KE037-028---- is enclosed by an earthen bank, now much eroded and gapped. In the interior are traces of a circular hut and a Man-made underground passage, and 2 possible hut sites are visible outside the enclosing bank. A bullaun stone has also been recorded at the site (O'Connell 1939, 16-7; KAS). The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.
