What is recorded here
Site of a holy well (OF036-065) which has been recently restored by a local stonemason who built a stone canopy over the well. Located beside the well is a large bullaun stone with two deep circular depressions on its surface. This bullaun stone was found in the nearby fields and placed beside the well a couple of years ago.

Likely dating to the early medieval period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, possibly in connection with the holy well. Such stones are often associated with Christian or pre-Christian healing traditions and local folklore.
