Situated on high poorly drained boggy land in an area of rock outcrop with good views of Lough Macnean Upper to the E. This is an area where the landcover is dominated by blanket bog and heath. Irregular shaped bedrock of carboniferous sandstone which has been revealed as the bog has been cut away with two deep circular basins (diam. 0.2m; D 0.09m: diam. 0.2m; D 0.1m) on its surface. The basins are 0.39m apart, one of several bullauns within this area. Nearby bullaun stones (LE009-011001-; LE009-012----) are located 60m and 250m to the NW respectively. This feature may have been caused by natural erosion of the carboniferous sandstone and may not be the result of human activity. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 29 January, 2016
