Bullaun stone in Cappagh (gowran By.)

Half a kilometre from the Sruhnasilloge river, a forgotten graveyard swallows the church of St Kieran whole. Scrub and trees strangle the stones, hiding a bullaun marked by two circular depressions. Those hollows may have measured milk, beer or tears for the dead, but the forest has reclaimed the answer. What remains is a dark chamber where human hands once shaped stone before forgetting the shape entirely.
