Bullán

One large depression (L 0.6m; Wth 0.39m; D 0.9m) and three smaller ones occur in S face of rock outcrop. According to local tradition, these are holy wells. Linked to Saint Bullán, an early Irish monk and saint associated with several sites in Munster, the wells are traditionally believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin. Local folklore connects the wells with protective and healing rituals, often involving the use of water collected at dawn.
