Not shown on 1842 and 1905 OS 6-inch maps; shown on 1935 OS 6-inch map inside S perimeter of possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (13897). Not located during site inspection. According to Bowman (1934, 403), stone, locally known as 'holy water stone', located 9ft to SE outside enclosure; 'It is irregular in shape, being 1ft 5in high and 6ft 9in in girth. On the top is a circular depression 10in in diameter and 41/2in deep at the centre.' The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
