What is recorded here

Buckswood in early Roman Britain was an iron-working site; in the Middle Ages a hunting area. A farmstead existed here c.1495, when the oldest part of this cottage was built. It was enlarged twice, c.1520‒30 and 1575‒80. Little Buckswood Farm was built on
Buckswood Cottage, with its origins dating to around 1495, is one of the few surviving medieval farmsteads in the region, reflecting agricultural life in the late 15th century. It was expanded during the early 16th and late 16th centuries, indicating its ongoing use and adaptation by local farming families.
