Buckenham Castle

Buckenham Castle was built in the 12th century by the de Buckenham family, a prominent Norman landholding family in Norfolk. It is important as a well-preserved example of a motte-and-bailey castle and as evidence of medieval land ownership and military architecture in eastern England.
