Bruthach Dearg is a sea cliff located in the Highland region of Scotland, composed primarily of basaltic rock formed during the Palaeogene period, around 60 to 55 million years ago. The cliff is notable for its association with ancient volcanic activity linked to the opening of the North Atlantic and may exhibit columnar jointing typical of rapidly cooled lava flows.
