Brownsea Island Nature Reserve

Brownsea Island Nature Reserve, located in Poole Harbour, Dorset, was one of the first areas in the UK to be set aside for nature conservation. It was gifted to the National Trust in 1923 by Henry C. Cadbury, a member of the Cadbury chocolate family, and is notable for its pioneering role in wildlife protection and as a sanctuary for rare species such as red squirrels.
