This blue commemorative plaque records: Bagdale Hall erected c. 1530 It was once the home of Capt. Browne Bushell (b. 1609) who was executed for treason in March 1651 Recorded plaque organisation: Whitby Civic Society.
Browne Bushell, born in 1609, was a Royalist captain executed for treason by Parliamentarians in 1651 due to his support for Charles II during the English Civil War.
