What is recorded here

Three thousand years before clocks, hands cut a ring ditch through the Antrim soil and placed a cist at the heart. The surrounding pits suggest repeated visits, perhaps to feed the dead or mark seasonal returns. Ballygortgarve preserved that much older rhythm of loss and memory long before written history arrived.
