Brodie Castle, Laundry occupied a twenty-metre patch in Dyke and Moy during the nineteenth century, serving the domestic hunger of the castle before modern plumbing arrived. Water, soap and human muscle turned raw cloth into clean cloth within that small footprint. The laundry may have stank of wet wool and wood smoke, but it kept Brodie Castle functioning when convenience was still a chore rather than a habit.
