Single-span cast-iron railway bridge over road, opened 1853. Coursed rock-faced cut-limestone walls with coursed rock-faced cut-limestone piers having cut-limestone stringcourse, and cut-limestone coping to parapets. Single cast-iron span with cast-iron panelled parapets. Sited spanning road with grass banks to road.

A small-scale bridge representing an important element of the mid nineteenth-century transport heritage of County Kilkenny on account of the connections with the development of the Waterford and Limerick Branch of the Great Southern and Western Railway line by the Waterford and Limerick Railway Company. Exhibiting the particularly fine stone masonry associated with such large-scale projects the construction primarily in locally-sourced County Kilkenny limestone serves to integrate the bridge pleasantly into the surrounding rural landscape: meanwhile, a cast-iron span produces a landmark of functional quality in the street scene.
