Single-arch bridge, built c.1865, carrying road over former railway line. Segmental-headed arch with margined rusticated limestone voussoirs and rubble stone soffit. Coursed rusticated limestone opposing walls with stringcourse. Flanking splayed walls of rusticated limestone construction to west.

This robust bridge, built as part of the Cork to Macroom railway line, is a fine example of the quality craftsmanship employed by railway companies in the nineteenth century. While many of the railway buildings no longer exist, fine bridges such as this one act as reminders of the scale of the railway network in the nineteenth and first part of the twentieth century.
