Bon Sauveur Convent

Detached three-bay single-storey lodge, c.1915, retaining early aspect with single-bay single-storey gabled projecting porch to centre. Pitched slate roof (gabled to porch) with red clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, timber bargeboards, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Painted rendered walls with round-headed recessed niche to gable to porch having moulded console. Square-headed window openings in bipartite arrangement with cut-stone sills, and 1/1 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with two steps, and timber panelled door. Set back from road in grounds shared with Bon Sauveur Convent.

An appealing, small-scale lodge forming an integral element of the Bon Sauveur Convent estate. Features including bipartite window openings, and a niche to the porch, serve to enhance the architectural quality of the composition. Well maintained, the lodge retains its original form and fabric, and contributes to the character of the grounds.
