Boley Castle vanished around 1903, erasing the tall stone tower that once dominated a gentle east-facing slope in County Wexford. The land passed from Tintern Abbey to the Colclough family after the dissolution of the monasteries, and the castle rose as a marker of that new ownership. John O'Donovan measured its substantial frame in the 1840s, but human greed or neglect removed it decades later. The earth still holds the shape of that lost house, waiting for someone to imagine the life inside.
