What is recorded here
Blue Scar is a sea cliff composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its distinctive blue-tinged rock face, which results from mineral staining, and for its role in the coastal landscape of the Calder Valley.
