Bishop Burton was a motor stern trawler, likely used for fishing, and was lost in the North Sea. It sank in 1963 after colliding with the coaster *Maid of Norway*; all 12 crew members were drowned, and the wreck was noted for its contribution to post-war fishing industry safety discussions.
