What is recorded here

Binchester Roman Fort, also known as Vinovia, was a Roman auxiliary fort established in the 1st century AD and occupied until the 4th century. It is important as one of the few Roman forts in the north of England with well-preserved remains, including a bathhouse and granaries, and was connected to the Roman military presence along Hadrian's Wall.
