Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Berneray, Ruisgarry, Bruist as Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dated to the Neolithic period with possible Bronze Age activity, this stone circle may have been used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes. Local folklore sometimes associates such sites with ancient rituals or fairy gatherings.
