Beinn Sholum rises to approximately 500 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Argyll and Bute region. Its name, like many in the area, is of Gaelic origin, reflecting the linguistic heritage of the Scottish Highlands. The mountain contributes to the geographical and cultural identity of the region.
