Beinn Ruisg rises to approximately 570 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute. Its prominence contributes to the region's mountainous character, and it lies within an area of ancient Dalradian rock formations. The hill matters as a topographic feature within the local landscape and for hillwalkers exploring the western Highlands.
